Supporters of the Blackpool bid believe that they have the strongest case in terms of regeneration.

The Casino Advisory Panel is set to make a recommendation to the Secretary of State by the and of the year. The government is expected to award the license early next year.

Blackpool is battling against Manchester, Cardiff, Sheffield, Newcastle, Glasgow and London's Millennium Dome and Wembley for the highly coveted super casino license.
